Day 1 Lhasa
Welcome to Lhasa. You will be greeted by your guide and transferred to a 4-star hotel. On the way to your hotel you will see Nie Tang Budda - a Budda image engraved in a mountain face. Take some free time in the afternoon to explore or visit a local bazaar.
Day 2 Lhasa
After breakfast, visit Lhasa's landmark, the Potala Palace. This massive 13-storey building used to be the home of the Dalai Lama. In the afternoon, visit the Sera Monastery, which was founded in 1419 by Sakya Yeshe, a disciple of Tsongkhapa. (B/L)
Day 3 Lhasa
After breakfast, visit the most revered religious structure in Tibet, the Jokhang Temple. Jokhang is the most sacred temple in Tibet, and is referred to as 'Buddha's House' because of the main statue enshrined which is said to be made by Buddha Sakyamuni. Jokhang Temple is the convergence of Tibet's Spiritual and secular life, like Mecca for the Muslims or the Vatican for Roman Catholics. Here, you can meet all the tribes from the Tibetan plateau. The surrounding market is called Barkhor, one of the most important religious paths, which also assembles people for shopping. In the afternoon, visit the Norbulingkha, the summer palace of the Dalailama. (B/L)
Day 4 Lhasa
After breakfast check out from the hotel and transfer to airport for your flight. (B)
